| xxxxxx |
Brenda paints in a variety of media including oil, acrylic and pastel.
Brenda's works are influenced by the beauty of nature. She captures this beauty
in highly colourful florals and the fascinating fauna that surrounds her. Her
works have a huge impact on the viewer, but are non-confrontational.
Brenda has exhibited extensively in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, including the Frankston Arts Centre on many occasions, “Bright! Space” in St. Kilda, “Chapel off Chapel” in Prahran, “Parliament House” in Melbourne and ”The National“ Golf Course in Cape Schank. Her first major solo exhibition – “ Flourish ” – was held at the City of Casey Art Space and she was one of three female Peninsula-based artists to exhibit at the successful joint show "Like Minded Souls" at Federation Gallery, Frankston Arts Centre. See Brenda's Exhibition Page for her current, and some of her earlier Exhibitions. Brenda has sold her work widely and has commissioned works in private collections throughout Australia as well as England, Ireland, Japan, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore. Brenda has been involved in Public Art projects for Frankston Hospital, Cranbourne Community House and several paintings for cafes and restaurants on the Peninsula.
Brenda has established her reputation as an excellent tutor in arts and crafts through many local community centres and outlets on the Peninsula and surrounds. She enjoys great pleasure in imparting and sharing her artistic knowledge with a wide variety of students from all walks of life and her love and enthusiasm for her crafts is apparent in her teaching.
